前段时间，一场大火把巴黎圣母院烧的塔尖坍塌，屋顶烧毁，整个建筑严重受损。记得小时候看雨果的《巴黎圣母院》，里面卡西莫多的形象真的是深入人心，一直想去看看，还没来得及， 就在熊熊大火中倾倒了，实在是令人惋惜。

　　Notre Dame Cathedral was burnt down not long ago. And I felt really bad about it. It is such an important landmark architecture that attracted tons of tourists to visit every year. Notre Dame is a typical Gothic church. It is world renowned because it is a European architectural history landmark site. It is considered one of the finest examples of french Gothic architecture, and it is one of the first buildings to use buttresses.

　　Victor Hugo wrote a famous story called The Hunchback of Dotre Dame. The story takes place around the cathedral, the English title is “The Hunchback of Dotre Dame” and it has also been made into movies. It centred around a hunchback bell ringer of medieval Notre Dame and his love for a gypsy dancer, which left me a really deep impression since I was a child, and I've dreamed to go visit there. So maybe later when it’s done renovating, I’ll go fulfil that dream.
